The Treasury's self-assessments as SEPA products' user and provider.

JSC "Itella Information" in its summer 2010 e-newsletter ( 83 KB, available in Latvian) informs its customers also about the SEPA project. JSC "Itella Information" inter alia indicates its commitment to SEPA as the payment system provider by providing SEPA compliant infrastructure.

Response ( 34 KB) provided by the National SEPA Working Group to the European Commission's consultation on Working Paper on SEPA migration end-date.

At its inaugural meeting on 7th June, the Members of the SEPA Council stressed their strong support ( 13 KB) for establishment of end-date(s) for migration to SEPA Credit Transfers and SEPA Direct Debits by means of legislation at EU level and welcome the intention of the European Commission to come forward with a legislative proposal in close cooperation with the European Central Bank.

On 5 May 2010, the fourth meeting of the EU forum of the National SEPA Coordination Committees has been organised by the European Commission, where countries' representatives exchanged information, experience and best practise about SEPA implementation. In this forum Latvia's presentation ( 176 KB) has been given about the state of play on SEPA project in Latvia.
