On 22 October 2010, the fifth meeting of the EU forum of the National SEPA Coordination Committees has been organised by the European Commission, where countries' representatives exchanged information, experience and best practise about SEPA implementation. In this forum Latvia's presentation ( 314 KB) has been given about the state of play on SEPA project in Latvia.

In May 2010, Ltd. "Factum" conducted a population survey "Monetary and Banking System in Latvia", where bank account holders were asked a question on SEPA awareness. Majority of respondents (61%) had never heard about those new euro payment instruments, nevertheless it deserves appreciation that 37% of bank account holders had heard about SEPA.
