For the purpose to facilitate the level playing field for the SEPA communication of all SEPA project stakeholders there has been organised the SEPA communication experts' meetings. Main task of the experts' meetings is the drafting of a communication plan which is to be harmonised with the Euro Project's communication developments. The SEPA Communication experts have been actively working in the spring 2010.

In May-June 2011, Ltd. "Factum" conducted a population survey "Monetary and Banking System in Latvia", where bank account holders, comprising 80.1% of Latvia's population in the age group between 15 and 74, were asked a question on SEPA awareness. In a year SEPA awareness indicators have not substantially changed. Majority of respondents (58.9%) had never heard about those new euro payment instruments. In its turn 22.9% of bank account holders had heard about them, 10.9% were aware along general lines, and 3.4% reported themselves as being well-informed. It deserves appreciation that the penetration of those who are well-informed has doubled in comparison with 2010 (from 1.7% up to 3.4%). Back to beginning
