The second meeting on the SEPA Creditor Identifier.

The National SEPA working group organised the second meeting on SEPA Creditor Identifier.

According to the conclusions by the Money and Payment Systems Working Group of the Euro Project of the Republic of Latvia, the Bank of Latvia, on behalf of the National SEPA working group, coordinated the second meeting with the representatives from the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia, the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia and the Association of Latvian Commercial Banks.

Since the previous meeting, there has been changed the content of the conception "About the singe registry of institutional and commercial entities", inducing the necessity to restore the discussion about the possibility to incorporate SEPA Creditor Identifier into the data bases of the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia. In the meeting there has been agreed that until the 8 December 2010 the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia would provide its opinion about the opportunity to incorporate the SEPA Creditor Identifier in the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.

In its opinion the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia informs that without additional financing there is no option to initiate functional updates in the data base of the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia.
